You can't beat a good box

I like boxes. I love boxes. Boxes are the best. Not all boxes are created equal. Some boxes shred better than others.

Take my upstairs box for example. I've shredded it and shredded it, and it's still a great box... with a few large ventilation holes. My box downstairs just doesn't do it for me in the way that the upstairs box does, haven't done one single shred on it yet.

Fresh running water is the best

In this hot weather I've been trying to keep my hydration levels up. Mom & Dad try to drink plenty of water all the time so I'm following their example, but for some reason they would prefer me not to do it my way.

I have a nice shiny bowl of water which they refresh during the day, and they put a big bowl of water in my outside enclosure, however I found out a while back that they also have a dripping tap in the kitchen.

Kitty physical

Another annual physical out of the way and evidently I'm a kitty in prime health. The only disappointing thing is that I've put on a little bit of weight over the winter. Dr Karen said I've got to cut down on the cat meat and treats. Kibble is ok but it's all those other little things during the day... and Mom didn't dare tell her about the Olivina habit.

UK treats rock again

Grandma sent another treats parcel for all of us, oh boy are they good to receive.

Mom got her favourite chocolates, Dad his remote control plane magazines and me, well I got some new, not to be found in Canada cat treats. They're sort of cat pepperoni sticks in different flavours.

I'll do anything for a bit of Olivina. Mom & Dad try to keep me on a maintenance program but it's just soooooo good. I tell them that it's ok to up the dose but they're not buying it.

Anyway Dad was making a chicken sandwich for lunch, he turned around to get something from the fridge and there were two slices of Olivina buttered rye bread unattended on his plate. Well what's a cat to do?

Pawdicure time

Mom noticed this morning that I was very gingerly scratching my neck with a back paw. Now having twice previously impaled my chin with a piece of shedding claw when I scratched Mom & Dad do keep an eye on my little inbuilt spikes.

Anyway Mom immediately rang the vets to book me in for a pawdicure and darn it they had a space this afternoon. So off we went in the truck, I'm not too bad with road trips as Mom puts my cat carrier on the passenger seat so I can see her, and I haven't had any recurrences of the first ever trip home incident (read about it).

Ooops, sorry Mom

Christmas comes early in Scooterville

When Mom comes home from Calgary theres always a little something in the truck for me. Today when she reversed the truck up to the office door even Dad was speechless. A 6 foot tall cat scratching post with platforms for sitting on was in the back of the truck.

Evidently it's my Christmas present but of course I opted to have it early. Once it was in the office I immediately tried it out. Cool... when I'm sitting in the crow's nest I'm eyeball to eyeball with Dad now.

UK treats rock

So my Grandma in the UK decided that we all needed some Fall pick-me-up treats. Dad got toy plane comics (oh ok Dad... remote control airplane magazines), Mom got gluten free chocolates and I got UK cat treats.


	Dad opened the parcel and took out a tub of treats, then another tub, then another until 8 tubs of treats were piled up on the table. Oh my what a feast. I just couldnt resist sniffing every single tub to check them out.

That damn squirrel

Mom & Dads deck is surrounded by some nice trees. Unfortunately said trees are also the territory of a pesky squirrel.

Now were getting colder nights so when the temperatures warm up in the day the cones start falling from the trees onto the deck due to the temperature rise, man do they irritate me. Hows a cat meant to get a good nap with all that noise of cones dropping onto the wooden deck from 50ft above?

Litter tray issues again

So we've touched on litter tray issues before but Mom is finding my other quirk a little odd... I won't use my litter tray when Mom & Dad are asleep or out of the house.

Okay so it's weird but I just can't do it.

This little quirk does of course mean that if they're out of the house for a long time then as soon as they get back I give them a quick hello and then I'm off to dump some unwanted ballast.

Princess... moi?

On wandering into the office this morning I saw a disconcerting sight. My bed, normally on Dads desk was on the floor, this must mean a client is coming. I flopped onto my bed on the floor making grumpy sounds and ensuring that everyone knew I wasnt happy.
